Summary

1. Product catalogue and shop details

The app and website download the product list, prices, stock status and shop contact details from our own server (apexcomputerspatti.in/api/catalog). These requests carry no personal data. Like every web server, Cloudflare (our host) processes your IP address to deliver the page; we do not log or keep it.

2. Phone calls, WhatsApp, maps and UPI

Buttons such as Call, WhatsApp, Directions and Pay by UPI simply open the phone dialer, WhatsApp, Google Maps or your UPI app with our number / address / UPI ID filled in. The app does not read your contacts or call log and has no phone, SMS or location permission. Anything you then send on WhatsApp or pay through UPI is handled by those apps under their own privacy policies.

3. Cart and orders

Your cart and "My orders" list are saved only on your phone / in your browser. When you place an order, the app prepares a WhatsApp message to the shop; you see it and choose to send it. We receive only what you send us on WhatsApp.

4. Camera and photos (shop owner and staff only)

The customer screens never use the camera. In the shop-owner/staff section, product and repair-item photos can be taken with the phone's camera app or picked from the gallery (the system photo picker – the app does not get access to your whole gallery and requests no camera or storage permission). Photos are edited on the phone (crop, rotate, colour, background) and saved in the app's private storage. They are not uploaded anywhere.

5. Repair status lookup

When the shop records a repair, the shop's phone sends these details to our server so you can check the status: job number, your first name, item type and model, status, dates, charges, amount paid, balance and an optional note for you. Your mobile number is stored only as a salted HMAC-SHA256 hash, so the server can check a match without knowing the number. Your address, serial numbers, problem description, internal notes, parts, photos and staff details are never sent to the server.

To look up a repair you enter your mobile number and job number; the server hashes the number, compares it and shows the job only if both match. To stop guessing, we count lookups per IP address (the IP is stored only as a hash and the counters are deleted after about one hour). Repair records are kept while the shop keeps the job in its records; when the shop deletes a job it is removed from the server at the next sync. Data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (database region: Asia-Pacific).

6. Shop-owner and staff data

Customer service records (names, phone numbers, addresses, payments) entered by the shop are stored on the shop's phone and, when the shop turns on phone–PC sync, also on our server so the shop's own PC can show them. The server copy is encrypted (AES-GCM) and can be opened only by devices the owner has paired, after an owner or staff PIN login. Staff PINs are stored only as hashes. These records are used only by Apex Computers to provide repair service, are never shown on the public website and are excluded from Android cloud backup where they contain secrets.

7. Children

The app is a shop catalogue for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

8. Security

All connections use HTTPS. The server never returns purchase prices, phone numbers or hashes. Owner sync requires a secret token.

9. Your choices and deletion

You can clear the app's data or uninstall it at any time to delete everything stored on your phone. To have your repair records removed from the status server, or for any privacy question, contact us – we will act within 30 days.

11. Advertising on the website (Google AdSense)

To help cover running costs, the website apexcomputerspatti.in may show ads served by Google (Google AdSense) on the home/catalogue, product and services pages. Ads are never shown in the Android app, on the repair-status page, in the cart or checkout, on this privacy page or in the shop's staff/desktop section.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (www.google.com/settings/ads). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
